You’ve Got to be Kidding Me
Today, as the House of Representatives was trying to pass a Continuing Resolution to ensure the US Federal Government stays open, one of the Representatives pulled a fucking fire alarm.
Yes, that same gag high school seniors play before graduation, when it is a beautiful spring day, and they don’t feel like being in class anymore. It happened four times in one afternoon when I was in school. Funny at the time, for sure, but not mature and definitely a strain on the fire department. They weren’t laughing.
But this wasn’t a high school senior. This was an elected official of the United States Government. A Representative of the people of the great state of New York. A democrat. And a member of the illustrious collection of kooks, nutjobs, and socialists known as “The Squad”.

There is currently an ongoing investigation as to why he pulled the fire alarm, but all bets are he feels Republicans were rushing the bill through this morning and they didn’t have enough time to review the 70-page bill. Hey, newsflash pal, this happens all the time. Former Speaker Pelosi was famous for doing exactly the same shit. That’s how the game sometimes works.
The claim from Representative Bowman’s office was that he was in a rush and didn’t realize he would set off a fire alarm by opening a fire door.
Seriously? How fucking stupid are you? Or how stupid do you think we are? You’re trying to tell me that with a Doctorate in Education, you didn’t realize fire doors set off the fire alarm?
This was clearly a delay tactic to slow the vote. But, it also puts stress on the fire department, the Capitol Police, the entire House of Representatives, and….it’s illegal. Yes, it’s criminal. Not to mention, it is also unbelievably childish, immature, and shows the lack of intelligence this man possesses.
Did I mention it was also a complete waste of time? The Continuing Resolution passed with the support of all but one Democrat.
So, seriously, dude…what the fuck? It’s on camera. There is footage. You did it.
Anyone want to lay Vegas odds that he doesn’t own up to it and that nothing ever happens to him? We can set it up as a parlay bet. No bookie in the country will touch it because it’s a sure thing.
